Montross...thanks....well..maybe the blood is off on the shirt, I dunno
I do have experiences with it though...I had a very bad car accident when I was 16 ...blood all over it...I saved it as a souvenir...and I used it for reference!!!
Just kidding
Thanks for the comments

this is great my only crit is that the blood looks over saturated and in some of the blood you can see your photoshop brush marks which isn't bad but it does tend to stick out in this particular painting because the texture clashes so much with the rest of the peice its really awesome none the less

Ha ha ha ha .... That's very well done and very disturbing, pstraub!
My observations about the blood are that it seems a little too bright, and the blood further down on the arm is a different colour. Maybe you put that there with the same colour you were using on the shirt? Looks odd. I love the upper arm area where the blood meets the shirt - very nice!
The outlet seems to be on a slightly different plane from the arm. I'm guessing that you were working from life, and got the vertical plane spot-on... but the arm is tilted back and you didn't account for the small difference in perspective. So even though it's all part of the same painting, there's a bit of a 'pasted on' feeling to that area.
Elsewhere... The plug is so dark that it wants to pop forward of the thumb. I think that if you added a slight orangey reflection on the lip of the plug the thumb-tip is resting against, and added a small amount of shading to the edge of the thumb tip (just above the plug, contrasting more with the shirt) that might do the trick.
Then again, I'm noticing we're here in the "finished works" forum and maybe this won't be helpful after all. Oop.
For whatever it's worth, though.:D

Would it be possible to post the original painting and the Photoshopped version side by side? I'd be interested to see exactly how much farther you took it.
