ok, couple o things going on in here. The first and most obvious are the proportion issues. obviously this isnt a regular person, but you have given it two arms, a head, and what looks like 2 legs. So you have made it a humanoid. Because of this, and the other visual clues, it needs to at least loosely follow the rules of human anatomy. If I were you, i would scour the internet for someone who at least vaguely resembles the body type you are going for here, and try to match up proportions and such.
secondly, it looks like you just used dodge and burn when painting this, and as such there is only the purple the green (that little bit of brown in the bracelet) and then tints and shades of those 2.5 colors. this leads to a very flat, very unreal looking concept. Try actually picking out seperate colors for your shadows and highlights, make them compliments of eachother, and paint with those instead of dodge and burn (or a black and white brush if thats what you did)
Also, make sure that things line up in front and side view. The body doesnt look like it does, and the face defineately does not.

Hey guys, thanks for the reply.
Regarding the proportion i understand she well out of it. I was kinda my intention to make her upper body, claws and head much larger than the lower body.
As for the colour feedback thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I shyed away from adding different colour infomation since thngs tended to get a little messy with it being my first photoshop piece. I will go back and look at ways i can implement more colour into the picture.
On the subject does anyone know of any good books on this subject? Thanks.
