hey is this the first unveiling of your film (aside form your angel image)? Its great to see this actually happening. I know how much hard work is involved. Y'all are doing great! These are beautiful, especially for storyboards!

just noticed you are from sunnyvale. I lived there before moving to sd for school. Ever been to sv golfland? worked there for like 3 years in the late 90's :) goodtimes.

Hey, these are beautiful.

Nice pacing and excellent colours. I have to say though, I really like the little bit of colour in Scene 6...

Will we get to see this film?

Oh, how long does it take to do each panel...and what are you using?

It looks nice so far, but I am a little confused on the last two panels. Why is the angel looking away from the woman. Is the angel supposed to be behind the woman. It appears so because of the angels scale being bigger and the lack of overlap. Is this a truck or zoom or a straight cu that happens 6 to 8, may need a "B" shot. The contrast in lighting could be pushed a little bit more, and the effect of snow could be more deep as it goes back into the background, as well as a little more deep on the sides of shot 6.

But, putting all that junk aside, the womans expession is very strong. I also do like the style you are using, it will do well translated to your 3d work, looks like this is gonna be a very emotional peice!

Pretty cool paintings. I like the hard edges, it's a change compared to your usual smoother style. The contrasts are really nice.

nice boards..

just a quick comment:

you have a flopping issue between frame 4 and 6. She is walking from Right to Left in the shot... in scene 4, she looks to her left, but in scene 6, she is looking to her right (i'm assuming in shot 4, she is lookign at the statue?).

Thanks guys.

The boards are not in sequence--well they are, but there are shots missing. I took random shots from the scene and pasted them in one file--that's why there's continuity issue. :D I posted it to show the images rather than the story--Lord knows I can't give the story away... :p

I rip through these really quick--speedpainting, if you will. I use Painter, but do editing in PS. I guess one frame takes about 5~15 minutes, depending on the complexity.

Damn!

That quick? Is there even the slightest chance you might show us some pencils before the paint?

Excellent work!
