Just got my new Cintiq 21ux this week....love it but when using Photoshop CS the lines are not smooth even when I use a ruler etc....have used a tablet for years so it's not practise but the software or something ???.....I do have smooth enabled in the Brush Dialog box so that's not the problem. When I sketch in Alias Sketchbook Pro and Corel Painter IX the lines are perfect and smooth.......Anybody have a similar problem and a solution.....any help would be appreciated...
Cheers Mike

It happens to me with all Photoshop versions combined with Vista...with an intuos 3...but also when painting with mouse...
i have no explications, no solutions...every other software is fine...
then i tried back with XP, same problem...while it never happened before...
the only thing i changed: graphic card, i switched to nvidia.

I used an Intuos tablet before and had no problems.....Now that I updated and got my Cintiq 21UX wobbly lines are happening in Photoshop.....there has to be a solution somewhere....especially when Painter and Alias Sketchbook have super smooth line quality........

sketchbook and painter autosmooth your strokes so that explains why they're so much smoother... another thing in ps is the larger your brush, the more evident the spacing appears. I can't say whether or not your lines were smoother with an intuos but i can say that cs3 is useless on my cintiq, but then again so is the upgrade imo. haha, no real help. just my observations with a similar setup.
