heres the game description
Edge of Twilight promises a look into a post-apocalyptic landscape where day and night no longer coexist. As the only living half-breed, Lex, the player travels between the two parallel realms engaging in over-the-top battles and exploring a living and breathing, yet desperate, landscape.

The name caught my eye because I wrote a comic by that name years ago and I go by that user name sometimes, shortened to twilightedge. It's also my email address as well.

Weird.

Anyways I really like the environments. They both really pull me into the scene. =) I'll be looking forward to the game.

Hey Alti-

Thanks for sharin these! The second one is very similar to what I had envisioned when you told me the brief for it. I dig the one stilt-walker apparently juggling runes or something...verry cool.

Yes, yes, I will see ya in Seattle.;)

Rod28Pereira > hey man, glad you like where its heading, not sure what you can show and what you cant, best run it past Justin :)
Polonoid > chees man, its an action adventure RPG with heavy industrial steampunk overtones.
S!R> glad you like em dude, btw i got you a cheesy australian tshirt like you wanted.

we're hell buisy at the moment at the studio and are in full production mode so the art team is getting hectic with deadlines and things to remember, also LMS3 work fits in there somhow but im sure in afew months the powers that be will release a chunk or artwork.. or not , who knows.

I like such environments! The mood and atmosphere just so well brought out by the seemily quick brushstrokes and of course the colours and lighting! Well done!

Incredible! Love the mood in both of them. I think we've all seen so many post-apocalyptic stories done before, but these seem very Fresh to me. Nice job.

howdy ho Alti :)

First allow me to say that your work keeps getting better and better. Love to mood in both of these. Couple of crits if I may~

Looking at the first piece, great conception and really has a good sense of mystery and fortitude. I personally believe that the painting could have been stronger were you to contrast more between scaling the character to its environment. Ever thought about making the figure smaller? or better yet, have you thought about putting more emphasis to his surroundings? It seems as though things have been narrowed down more then it should have, not giving enough sense of space into the composition. Also, I believe more exploration with colours and tones would have helped the overall feeling.

Second looks full of life with an interesting composition. I really dig that tall fellow juggling, and the smaller figure just in front of him. I do think though, you spread around too much of the same colour tones in areas where it isn't really necessary. too much of those bland tan tones fill the room up, and in some parts loose definition when mixing with the figures. I believe a stronger direction towards your sources of light could have helped the general feeling/mood, and makes things a bit clearer and "easier to read".

Keep posting, looking forward to the next batch :D
Cheers

Cool work. Love the first. The second has a colour scheme I think might be slightly too saturated, very hard to look at. I believe when there are lots of details the saturation needs to be reduced a little so the either can flow across the details easier, or at least I feel like I am forcing myself to see on this one.

What console is this for?

I like the first one. The bottom one is well executed and looks like a spooky Halloween festival. I don't like spooky Halloween festivals, even when they are painted so nicely with moody lighting effects. The first one has a nice contrast between the warm glow of the torch and the cool shadows of the background.
