Well, I am just now joining in. I am also just now getting back to drawing after 12+ years of not picking up a pencil. *sigh* Anyway, here is a 5 minute sketch.

Heh. I also forgot about 'semi' mobile...so I took one of the tires off.

I suppose it doesn't really matter what I think since I haven't posted anything worth a crap yet but hand and hurricane those are sweet. I like the bunny too :thumb:

I've been watching for a long time before I started posting and I have to say... each one of the dsg posts is interesting it's own way. I'm glad to have found this place. I look forward to the new theme every morning as it has become a nice break from the norm. When time allows, it's nice to put off the work for a half hour or an hour and have some fun. It's quite refreshing to draw something I probably never would have tried otherwise. Sure my productivity suffers but what the hell, at least it feels good. ;) :chug:

"forgot about 'semi' mobile...so I took one of the tires off."

That made me laugh out loud! Good to hear you're giving art another shot, van... and welcome to the DSG. I'm new here myself, about a week-and-a-half, and doing these assignments every day has really boosted the art making areas of my brain. I suppose it's just like exercising muscles.

Thanks for all the positive comments everybody! I really appreciate it.

hurricane, I can't see all but an "x":(

man had a good idea for this one but couldnt pull it off - its a dwarvish guy whos supposed to take on gryphons. Basically hes the fattest guy in the mine (which makes him semi-mobile but also harder for the gyphon to pick up and also a more tempting morsel) and hes chained to a cliff.

Hes got a weighted net in one hand and a sledge hammer in the other - because I imagine gryphons being too tough to be taken down with a bow and arrow. :bash:

And, naturally, hes got a pretty worried expression on his face...

:D

Here, here. Im with you on that all the way. I have been lurking on the forums for about 3 or 4 days and finally decided to jump in today. I just ventured into the DSG forum and saw todays topic and said...what the hell! :) The funniest thing is that I dont EVER draw vehicles, so it was kind of interesting just letting go and trying something different.

What I have been most impressed with about this place is the different levels of artistry and yet, I dont see any real class system going on. Everyone is helping everyone and it just makes me happy that I decided to give it another go.

Thanks for the welcome and I am sure I will see you around.

Good work everyone!
