"When it rains it pours."

This is really my first human character.
I'm continuing to employ the same technique I used on my DEATHBOT (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11173)... I'm really enjoying this approach!

The original character is probably the least finished. I'll be working on him more, definitely. He seems Canadian to me.:)

Everthing else is an offshoot. Once the ideas started coming, I was loathe to resist them. I think everything is sortuv self-explanatory...

The GORILLA Suit's legs and boots don't sit perfectly well with me. The legs seem like they wouldn't get you around very quickly, and the boots aren't quite consistent stylistically w/ the rest of the suit.

The DEATHBRINGER Arms that you see on the backs of the evil-robot dude and the GORILLA Suit at bottom came directly from my recently finished (?) DEATHBOT. The only thing I really added to them were a coupluv binocular optic sensors, cuz I figure such a device would have to have some intelligent computer-assist.

Comments/Crits are hoped for!

Thanks, ty! You make a valid point about the fuzziness, and how I might wanna pull in a little crisp here and there. As I develop this soldier, I'll try to keep that very much in mind.

not that a filter will ever solve problems of painting and directing the focus to important parts BUT....

the "sharpen" PS filter can do wonders--if it doesnt work over the entire image maybe using it sparingly in only certain areas will help teh fuzziness thing

btw--i really love the middle guy--withthe claw back pack--pretty funny and scary hehheh

The upper body of the human character looks a little odd to me, mainly because of how large his right (our left) shoulder is. I am thinking canadian, though. ;)

As you added more and more of his gorilla suit, though, the piece looks quite a bit stronger. I'm really digging the suit design, but I do think you should address the blurriness that Ty was talking about.

Awesome work, though, I love it. You DSG's have kicked ass lately too, so keep pumping these out.

Looks good. He's well suped up to do any job hehe. I'd render the metal to be a bit rougher as opposed to shiny, but since its not in a landscape or a battlefield the shinyness does look good.
