I wanted to capture a scene of a counter, one of the most 'dramatic' interactions in kendo. I researched through a friend who practices kendo locally here in Seattle, WA.

These are great Ken! I'm loving the simplicity and the color in the first and the dynamic action poses of the second.

Glad you decided to join this forum, there's alot of great talent here to help out and inspire.

I don't find it very unclear what is going on, and looking at them, I want to. The poses and composition are not conveying the action, the second one is lost in monotone. Maybe you are trying to be true to the reality and not wanting to dramatize the event, but faking it would help.

man, the first one is beautiful, even though its blurry, it has a photo realism to it, good stuff, would love to see some more of you work, kendo's a great sport, too bad they dont have it in U.S. highschools
