it's only difficult because most people have a act of experience doing vehicle design, espically land vehicles.
I went WW1

I dont think armor means guns...
Does anyone know whether such vehichles actualy exist? Is there a niche for fire fighters in battle?

Don't know what this is. A lighter car or something that would go head on head with lou's.

Ok, when I think heavy armour I like to think of the transport in aliens... it would rock with better ground clearance.. but as a fire truck.. I think it would work...
enjoy.

small 2" long sketch, kinda messy. I chickened out and avoided any kind of perspective.

i'm kinda late... but not on the west coast!
well, very quickly, this is a desert vehicle to fight oil platform/vehicle fires. the turret on the right is anti-personnel for defense and the turret on the left is a Filmfoam 216 aspirating cannon (medium range anti-fire chemical).
if i had time and if this was a character design post, i'd give the soldier on the back an anti-materiel .50 cal rifle, with fuel neutralizing capsule rounds (to be fired directly into a gas tank to prevent an explosion, or halt an enemy vehicle). the second soldier in front has a Filmfoam 216 med-range aspirator cannon.
image hosted by insidecg, so i don't know how long it'll be up.
