It's always stared me right in the face, but I never saw it. It's renowned all across the internet for it's massive knowledge base, with it's highly detailed articles and it's ability to remained mostly unbiased in said articles, but it had never occurred to me to look here before for artistic anatomy reference until recently.
The Wikipedia article regarding muscles of the human body is simply amazing. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_muscles_of_the_human_body#Muscles_of_head_ and_neck:_the_neck)
It gives detailed illustrations of not only the muscles, but the bones, nerves, and veins, insertion points, functions, and opposing muscle groups.
The wikipedia has proved itself an invaluable resource yet again!
I hope this helps people!
I can only imagine how grotesque early anatomy studies must have been.
