What a wonderful sketch!
It has so much life to it. The flow of it, the little kids, and the design of the mech fella looks cool. Whats the story behind it?
My only suggestion is that you spruce up the backgroud. The city's lookin fine, but I'm talkin about the mountainscape. Also I think it would look better if you added something to the left.
I know its a w.i.p and you're not finished, but they're just things i wanted to point out.

I agree with I.was.ink, onley want to add that head of the little boy are to big, I mean he is too big at all. It seems like from some other picture. Than man with flag have too big head( in relation with robot head), and I dont understand where he stands
I will also suggest that you should move first robot with people down or up, to make picture more dynamic.
I think this picture have ghreat atmosphere, so keep it going.

How about this for a rather unimportant suggestion.
The kid with the 2 arms raised in the air would fall off! as he or she isn't hanging on to anything. Because the rest of the picture is drawn well and creates some realism this part annoys me.
Plus - instead of moving the front central figure up or down, you could try adjusting the height of the background horizon line. The line of the mountain ranges flows straight into his shoulder pads/wings and seems to "attach" him to the background.
Great design, concept & expressions. Hope that you finish this.
