View Full Version : Lack of pen pressure support in CS3 with Trust 1200-V2

Hello everyone, hope this hasn't been asked before.

After years of "ordinary" drawing I have recently started to experiment with Photoshop to extend my horizon.
I soon realized that drawing with the mouse wasn't really what I was looking for, so i got myself a Trust 1200-V2 tablet. I chose this one because it was big and cheap to start with. Its not great, but it serves my humble needs quite well. :P

Now I have the problem, that Photoshop CS3 doesn't seem to support pen pressure. If I test it in the tablets settings menu it works well, but Photoshob tells me I need a "pressure sensitive tablet" and theres no reaction on pressure at all.

Can anyone suggest me how I could get it to work, because without pressure sensitivity its only half the fun.
Maybe I have to change some settings in Photoshop? Haven't found such setting yet though.

PS: I don't think there is a driver problem. I have version 3.09 which came with the tablet. I think that's the latest one.

that's very odd... are you sure that your tablet supports pen pressure?... not all tablets support it (i guess)..

Yes I'm quite sure.
As I said the test tool recognizes everything well:

The pen size changes correctly and the pen pressure inicator (Druckempfindlichkeit) shows values from 0 to 512.
Still Photoshop doesn't recognize it.

Thus, my first guess was there is a problem in Photoshop but I have no idea where to look for it.

I'm having a similar problem.

I got the Wacom bamboo. I have PS 6, and Elements and Painter 3(those came with the tablet). None of them seem to be recognizing pressure settings. I downloaded the new drivers.

Help?

After some desperate googling for a solution i just uninstalled the trust drivers and Photoshop.
Then i reinstalled the drivers first, the Photoshop and it work now. *is happy* :)

Maybe you should try this too MiniGoth.

I'm off exploring the wonders of digital painting now. :D
