I was wondering if I should post the steps it took to paint Onema last night.. then I was encouraged to do so by gasmask.... luckily I save like made while painting and fill up my harddrive with HUGE files, so here's Onema's progression:

First I started out with the sketch

Then I brought it into painter. I created a new layer underneath of the sketch and I set the sketch layer to "gel". I then started painting in the background and the basic colors for Onema.

Here's where I merged the layer containing the sketch and the layer I started applying color to. I then started painting the face... I made a few changes including removing the stupid tattoo.

I worked on the face a bit more and moved onto the shirt and goggles..

Are you planning to leave those outlines in the final piece?
