I have finally found out what a sketchbook is! So now I am creating one of my very own. I hope I'm doing this right. Please critique anything you find wrong! Especially backrounds, shading, and HANDS. (Good god the HANDS!)

Some of my recent drawings from this week. I was encouraged to post my pencil artwork here so that's what I'm doing. I put one in there that I colored slightly with colored pencils but it's not that godd so can you guys please help me with that? The second one is kind of blurry, so sorry about that. I used a camera to take pictures because my scanner is broken.

I would-personally- suggest that you try to steer clear of anime stylized drawings until you start really working on your foundation. Not that there's anything wrong with anime (I love it), but anything that is by default stylized is only going to be harmful to you in your development. I would suggest that you start drawing alot from life and drawing what you see. If you really admire anime, it's better to investigate styles of anime before you actually start drawing anime-stylled pieces as a major body of your work.

When you say investigate do you mean look at other styles of work and draw in their style or just to get some ideas?

Well I know I said I wanted to work on my backrounds so here is one! I'm sorry it's on lined paper so next time I'll put it on blank paper! I'm also sorry for the photo taken instead of scanner! I don't have one sorry.
