Dumb tablet question

Hi guys and girls,

I was just wondering if there was a way to make the tablet function like a mouse inside photoshop. To not have the cursor "jump" from where the pen is located on the tablet but instead move the cursor like a mouse. Hope that it made sence...

PS. I know that some/alot of you will think that this is not logcial but thats really how I would like it to work...

In the Wacom control panel, select "grip pen" in tools, then set mapping to "mouse." Although why you would want to do that is beyond me.

I use this setting, I dont really understand the disadvantages of it though? lol maybe im just dumb, but I like to know exactly where the cursor is at all times, so thats why i use it...

could someone please list the pros and cons of each setting?
