Hey everyone!:}

I'm kinda new here, so I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong section :bashful:

I'm thinking about purchasing a digital painting program, perhaps Photoshop, but first I want to know, is Photoshop the best program out there??
I certainly know, that it's the most popular....Also, would you say a progra like this is a good investment?

Also, I'll need a tablet and again I'm looking for recommendations??

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance XD

Depends. many people go for photoshop, many go for corel painter. I believe (no facts to back this up though), most digital artists still use photoshop.

Photoshop can have a more artifical feel to it, while painter tries to mimic real life medias such as oils, goache, water colour etc. This is ofcourse a very very very rough generalisation and does not reflect the opinion of more advances forum monkeys.

I see we have some new smileys. Better use them. :trueelwell: :mittenbop: :steph: :lounge: :asspat:

Thanks for that :D Sounds like Photoshop may be more up my alley going by your "very very very rough generalisation".

I don't mind the price that much, as long as it is worth it. Thanks for the advice :)
