Hello all. Thought I'd get involved with this section of the forum and upload some of my sculpture images.
I've actually not made a sculpture in a while and I'm looking to get back into it so any advice is more than welcome.
Wanting to reinvent my ideas with sculpture and maybe try out a few things so please, critique away. Harsh or pleasant! I don't mind. I need the advice! :}

I just think their similarities is kinda of... mmmh... boring. You could try to make them diferent looking speacially on the eye and nose areas (unless they're all family related)

Anyway thats a cool colection :)

Nice neds mate: I like the subject matter and your treatment of it, as it has a real anti-hero quality that I reckon can work well with figurative sculptures, setting them appart from the traditional idea of sculpture as an idealised monument.

I'd be interested to know what sort of mood or idea you are going for with this work, by the way, and whether the pieces are intended to be seen individually or as a group (the group shot has a strong sense of confrontation with the viewer, which I think works better than the pieces alone, myself).

The rugged shapes you've gone for suit your subject matter, if you ask me: was wondering if you have heard of an artist called Albin Egger-Lienz (painiter) who might be interesting to look at if you were to consider developing this chunky, slightly beaten treatment of the figure.

Anyway, thats my bit: enjoyed seeing these sculpts and all the best with the work!

these seem to be a bit small and timid. i do enjoy the 3rd figure from the left on the top row and the 2nd figure has the best placement.

i feel like they need a home. their display seems off- they don't really exist anywhere. i suppose this is really the biggest issue i have with them. i'm not so big on them being clustered together. by themselves they seem to demand more attention- clustered they just don't have that.

best of luck.
