Ok here's a piece I just did for an ad for my company. I have modified it (Removed Logos, changed text) to keep it legal.

I've attached two versions that have been made into 24' x 36' posters.

It was fun to do.

Thanks

Hmm
While this is a great Idea I have mixed feelings about the design.
I think as a robot, 'hard-ass' Uncle Sam would need to be portrayed as such
this has him looking too disguised, especially in the face and chest.
it's no business of mine what you do with this as a result of my comment, but I would take this back to the drawing board and try out some more exposed and more gritty looking mechanics. Oh! and rethink what you do with his left arm, the way it just kinda motion blurs into nothing is kind of questionable.
after all it's nice work and you should be proud but from the design standpoint, refer to above =)

You know any input is great, and yours is more comprehensive than most. Anything you have to say is useful and helps me grow. Though I can’t do anything about the posters at the printers, I can however take your criticism and put it to good use – especially with such a well known image as this.

Thanks -D

Mmmm, okay, here's my two cents: focus the colors in the picture on the pointing hand, choose a background color that emphasizes the foreground, and center each line of the text. Otherwise, it's a cool design. :)

Thanks, the text was done like that on purpose to emphasize certain words and to facilitate the flow of the composition. In hind sight I should have made the ssu larger and cut down on the spacing. You are right about the color, it needs some more chroma to make it jump out and I should beef-up on the complimentary contrast to make the illustration pop more. It's funny, I'm looking at it on a CRT right now and it's much different than the Cintiq at work and then it looks quite grey and washed out on the LCDs there - oh well you try your best, it would be nice to have some sort of proper monitor continuity other than THX which tends to make things quite dark. -D
