Average time spent on finished pieces?

How long does it take on average to finish a piece like the featured artists at the top of this page?

It varies on the piece - but I had to guess, based on previous replies: 20-80 working hours or so? I'm not a featured artist, nor will I be in the near future, but that's what I've gathered in the past in respect to the more developed pieces (honestly though you can spend an hour and have something stunning, or months worth of sheer hours) - really varies on the piece.
