Hey gang,
As an artist or designer, tell us what's on your Christmas wish list this year.
I'm personally thinking about a new video camera to do more video on my website.
I'm also hoping for software that will allow me to record demos of stuff I may create in Photoshop!
What's on your wish list?

I want another lCD Monitor so I can have more screen space to work on my digital art. I'll probably end up buying it for myself.

I want a cat.
I've got to the point in my life where i need a pet and am old enough and i feel financially stable enough to get one, and since my partner with whom i live is a light sleeper a small animal that lives in a cage is not an option. We don't have time for a dog really, so a cat is the choice for us. Not a kitten a young cat, i'm aware we don't have time for a kitten at the moment.
Unfortunately partner reckons he is allergic to them. Which isn't true because back when i lived at home and he spent several months living with me and my family - the family cat slept on his pillow (unknown to him) several times to my knowledge and he didn't break out in sneezes like he does with dogs. So thats what i want, though i'm happy to wait till after Christmas to get said cat which i intend to get from an animal shelter.

@kovah: I was allergic to cats when I was a child, but it disappeared with puberty. Or so I think, since before puberty I only used to visit a place with cats (my grandmoms house) and that cat is dead, but this summer I spent two weeks in my cousin's home in belgium, she's got two cats and I had no issue with them. So maybe it's a problem with some breeds, my grandmom's was a siamese.
I want a nintendo ds, and some art books, like some bridgman ones and art&fear. I'd rather have a new computer than a ds, as right now I can play almost no games in my outdated PC, but we havent the money for a good new computer so I'll get a ds, I love mario, zelda, casual games and these painting programs... it's perfect.

Art books are always welcome.
Anything that isn't socks, sweets or aftershave suits me really.

I think just some cats are more allergenic than others, dogs are the same. I did some reading up on it when i found out he was allergic to the dogs at his parents house and live on antihistamines when we go, but he never had a problem with the cat at my mothers house. So by my reckoning if we get a short haired mongrel cat like at home he wont have a problem with it. I'm not even gonna ask him to like the thing if he doesn't want to, i'm quite happy to get all the cat cuddles [portal] <-pretend the cube is a cat.
Nintendo DS's are awesome, have you thought about just upgrading parts of your PC though, a bit of extra RAM and a new graphics card can work wonders. There is no need to buy a whole new PC though ;)

Yeah, I know, to be honest my comp is not that outdated, amd 3200+, 1gb ram, 7600gt... With 1gb more of ram I'd have just enough for current games, this comp can run hl2 finely. The problem is, it's broken, or something... When I play any game, it ends hanging up, I tried changing the gpu and reinstalling everything but it's still the same. For painting and drawing it's fine, it's just when I play games and things like that. It happens with all kinds of games (super nes emulator, runescape or hl2 on good quality, it's the same)

Dear Santa
I've been a good boy this year. I've been drawing lots and eating my greens.
This Christmas, I would like please, a 20" inch LCD monitor and a new mouse.

A new photographers camera, drafting table, random music soundtracks for inspirational background; wouldn't mind trying a leadholder. Lots and plenty of subject reference. Rolling ruler (Parallel Glider), and a couple art books.
Certainly need a new gig of RAM, though.
Hm I should find my camera and take a pic of my new Christmas stocking I got here...

um,
artbooks would be nice...my own digital camera.
But what I really want is...a real set of Japanese Comic Pens (lasts long and the holder is wooden)...my parents don't exactly allow me to have stuff from online...
umm...on more selfish requests is a PS3...not gonna happen for me...
a mp3 player and a head set like the one from Persona 3.
A christmas present to myself...GET MY COMIC TO BE ONLINE! Damn, gotta work on it...

I asked for components for a new pc. I built my old one years ago and it's too damn slow now... I wanna get a core 2 duo E6750 processor but for that I need a new motherboard which will need a new video card and new ram...all which need a better power supply unit....oi....want one thing, need to redo it all lol.
and a CycloDS Evolution. Yep..that's it

I'd like a new monitor too, but I wouldn't trust my parent's to know which ones are good. :B
Some art DVDs would be nice though. :)

I wouldn't mind a subscription to ImagineFX ... although I also wouldn't mind a lot of other things that I likely won't be seeing (can't see spending well over $100 on a magazine subscription "Because it looks interesting and I want to try it for a year")
On the more reasonable end of things... Art books, Lighting equipment, Art Supplies, Still Life Objects, etc. etc. all are things of interest for me...
Honestly in the end though, can't say there's anything in-particular I'd want for "Christmas"... beyond just providing a list of things I collect or buy on my own anyways.
