I need tips on cleanliness!!!

Hey, guys!!

I've had a problem drawing ever since I started with pencil work (which has been a long time). I can never seem to get and keep a "crisp" look to my lines.

I think I might just be drawing too small, but I'm not sure.
I usually draw simple sketches on standard sketch pad paper. (8.5 x 11)

If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I would love to hear them. I desperately need to clean up my artwork.

Also, I need a great website (besides CA) where I can get some inspiration when I'm having an off day. DeviantArt is pretty good, but its hard to filter out the stuff I didn't want to see.

Need to see an example of the work to give an accurate response. My advice would be to post one of your drawings in the critique center and specifically ask for advice about your line work.

Some generic advice I can give: Use fewer lines per contour; don't pet your line; draw with a piece of paper under your hand to prevent smudging; use a mechanical pencil; sharpen your pencil with sand paper; use an h pencil or harder.
