Post some of your drawings from years ago until now, to show your progression.
Around 2002 is when I learned that I had to learn the construction of the figure in able to draw it well. But it wasnt until mid-2005 that I actually started pursuing that. I felt that if I draw nude pictures for long enough, my ability to draw the figure would eventually get better. This 1st one is from May 2005, one of the first figure drawings I ever did.
The 2nd one is from August 2005, when I started asking people on deviantart to do poses and I drew the pictures they did for me.
2006 didnt have that many good works by me so this 3rd one is from Feb 2007.
These 4th and 5th ones are from May 2007
This 6th one is from Oct 2007
The 7th is from mid October
This last one is from 3 days ago.
When I look back on my works I see that they were usually hit or miss, but it the past few months they've been at least consistently decent. I still have a big problem with shading, mine just doesnt look realistic. I need to work on that alot. I think at least my forms and proportions have improved. In the past few days it started looking even better.
