Photoshop crash

why does my photoshop crash every time i use custom or elaborate brushes? by elaborate i mean, like the rake brush (which has 5 lines) or something that represents wall textures... any help/advice :(

Which version of Photoshop are you using? What type of PC are you using? Which OS? From my experience, it shouldn't crash! What settings does your rake brush have?

um... im using photoshop cs2, but 7 was of no avail either. as for pc, its a good one with os: windows vista, but also happened on xp... so im not sure. its like photoshop just freezes and refuses to work. im not sure about my rake brush setting...

or perhaps you have other programs running at the same time zapping all your memory.
