My feeble attempt at a bengal inspired palette. Still needs a lot of work. Any crits would be appreciated.

...Hey Groover, I love Bengals work too.
With your piece, I'd say add some line work over the colour, to define the whole thing. It will make the image a bit more tidy. Maybe add some more darker shade?
Hope this helps...

The palette is looking good, and I like the concept. I do have a few drawing/anatomy/composition suggestions:
Her back is much too straight, especially with her neck at such an extreme angle. If you angled her back to the left so that it mirrored her neck the figure would have a lot more life to it.
The position of her rear arm looks unresolved. It might be clearer if you reversed the arms and had the front one pointing.
Either her head is too big or her arms are too short (assuming she's supposed to have standard human proportions). Either way, her breast is too high
The values in her skin and the background are so similar that she's starting to dissappear. You're either going to have to restate the outlines and make it a less painterly piece or increase the contrast.

I'm not good with colour theory, but it seems to work.
The girl's pose on the other hand is too stiff, and she's side on which doesn't look natural.
Unlike the little dancing geezer. Who rocks.

Looks really good. I thought the face of the girl was really done well. My first impression of it was that she looked exhausted that the (muskrat?) thingy wasn't paying attention to her, and it didn't seem as if it was the first time that she had to scold the creature.
maybe that wasn't what you intended, tho, and that's just me :D
But the arm does look a little stiff. ;)

Thanks for the comments and crits everyone.
Molly - I actually have been trying to put outlines in, but I might have to print out the piece, add lines and scan em in, doing linework in painter just isn't working.
Elwell - Great crits. Pretty much confirmed the little things that bothered me also.
Laconic - Glad you like the creature.
Unknown Target - Yeah the creature is having it's master "talk to the hand"
Here's a quick update. I tried to make the fabric on her shoulder a little more sheer, I hope it reads that way. But I might change the pose altogether anyway.
