Hey Everyone,
Steve McCurry originally photographed this Nepal boy and I liked it so much I did my own interpretation of him. Painter and Photoshop were used. C & C's are welcome!!

Great work. Looks like the idea for a new Hajii for Johnny Quest. :)

gorgeous glossy colors man:)
Following the rest of the pics standard though, I'd add more detail to the turban. But hey, it rocks the way it is. Really like the heavy black outlines that pop out a little here n there.

I'm not letting this drop off the page, it's too good. I love the character, he's wonderful. The texture in the gold paint is gorgeous and you've used the blured brushes with incredible taste.
Bravo.

That's beautiful, great job.
I like how the face is in focus and the lines are sharp whereas the rest of the image is blurred and soft. Great effect.
I agree with Theo, it seems like the turban should have a little more detail to it.

This is a great piece. It has a really fresh look to it. The cartoony qualities are nice, but I'd like to see a more realistic approach to it.
Maybe you have some more realistic works, that you'd like to post.... *hint, hint*;)

jeff! nice work . i like that depth of field effect. some of the lines might be too black though. maybe if you lighten them up or tone them brown... great piece

Very nice. I have to agree with bfaubion, the linework would be more appealing as browns and colors instead of black. Also, let me add, it's very cool to see you open with a credit for the photographer, more of us should remember to follow your example.
