i got upset messagings about how they used to be a certain type of artist then were changed to something else, and thought it was out of anger.

In fact I don´t see any sense in this ratings at all. If someone is posting 350 times it can be all the time nonsense and someone with just a few but good comments can be of more value or whatever. The only ones that are expressing something are "moderator" or "professional" and of course the funny ones people get sometimes. This makes them somehow personal to me ;).

The ratings don´t disturb me - even if I feel getting back to my D20-days - so do whatever you want.

BTW Davi, it´s impossible to make everyone happy. so just do your own thing.

i know this is crazy and probably not possible, but my suggestion is, what if there was a system or way to rate people with the old titles based on their actualy skill and now how many times they posted, that would be cool, and when they obviously get better, they go up, like say for an example a noob joins and his skills are that of a noob but he gets better say he goes up to an intermediate noob like he normally would, but its not about how many posts its about his skill level, that would be cool

To do a real ranking system, why not to do something similar like a thunderdome and dsg together thing. A kind of regular contest, with a member votation system, to title people in relation to their skills. The position in the contest could be taken for the ranking position.

Just wonder what makes you an "professional" and why have some people there personal titles while others are in the rankingsystem .

Oh and imho it's a dangerous idea to rank people by there artskills cause it's hard to do it not subjective and it could lead to many bad blood.

Thank goodness. I run a forum a little bit larger than this one. (Not sketchforums) vb3 runs a lot more smoothly AND it has a lot better features.

As for the titles. Who freaking cares. I just let people make their own. You should drop the mandantory titles, include the post counts in the left cell of posts and upgrade to vb3 as soon as possible.

Oh...and allow attachments!?! I was very much amazed that you could not upload attachments here.

If you need any help with hosting, upgrades, etc...just give me a shout. I'd be glad to lend a hand.
