WELCOME METAL MILITIA TO THE MOST BRUTAL PLACE IN ALL OF CONCEPT ART!

Here, like Nightmare of the Week or the Teen Challenge, we will have our bi-weekly paint offs.

The rules:
Anyone CA user can participate but you must be in the Metal Militia. You can join here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=109863 . In this thread we will decide on what our topics will be. Every other week the topic will be the name of a metal song. Chances are it won't be from an obscure or not very well known band and I'll post up a link to the youtube video of it if there is one. You will have to paint/draw something that represents that song. Please do not attach your images to this thread as it will make it much more difficult to bring it to the poll.

Topic:
This week the topic is free choice but there is a catch, you have to design a mascot for the metal militia, a front man so to speak. It would be best to pick songs that talk about characters like Iron Man by Black Sabbath or Angel of Death by Slayer. Also try to do a song by a well known band not some local band that no one's heard of.

I've heard Blue Oyster Cult called metal. If that counts, I'll do Black Blade or Don't Fear the Rreaper. If not, then Judas Priest's Electronic Eye or even Iron Maiden's Prisoner are good.

Well, I wanted to do the Eisbrecher song Schwarze Wiwte (black widow) but I should probably keep it more well known in the US. Black Sabbath's Snowblind makes me think of a cokehead strung out crazy man baking in the sun, so I guess that wouldn't work either.

I guess Bark at the Moon by Ozzy Osbourne it is!

@ Zaxser: BOC is very metal in lyrics but their instrumentals are more rock and less 'metal'. Metal implies a great deal of overwhelming distortion and lots of scales all over the place. However, you should do Joan Crawford.

haha lol, this was an awezome idea, and i just HAVE to say something about simon and garfunkel when Slash so kindly mentioned it....and

they are metal, ever heard the Nevermore covero f "sound of silence" THAT is metal man! but ermn ye, simon and garfunkel are just creapy, they sound just freaking creapy, i just CANT listen to them without getting the shivers, in a NOT pleasing way,, i think they are scary o.O

berserk or cradle of filth sound like x-mes songs compered to the, they are a nightmare!!
