I'm not exactly sure if this should be going in Painter or Photoshop. Please move this topic to its correct destination if its in the wrong forum.
I work back in forth between Painter and Photoshop, and I'm coming across some strange saturation problems. After I go to Photoshop and save then back to Painter (numerous occasions) the saturation changes without me touching that layer at all.
Is this caused by a difference in settings or something? It goes from 1 - > 2 after awhile.

Note: I'm far from expert and just thinking out loud here, that said the first things that popped to mind were..
Painter- when you save as psd, are you using cmyk or rgb mode? That could change certain colours.
-When you take it back into painter, certain PS things like any adjustment layers won't be imported, again changing it from what you saw in PS
Photoshop- maybe some weirdness with colour profiles or that Adobe gamma thingy?
That's all I got but if it's a common problem someone here will likely know what's up, I know lots of peeps here switch between the two apps.
Edit: are you using semi transparent layers at all? Transparency settings seem to be handled differently in each app.

I save in RGB mode. And I don't believe I'm using any semi transparent layers. I'll have to check out the some of the settings for Photoshop.

This occurs alot. Try not to work with layers (just on 1 layer). Don't changing layer modes besides normal. These applications have a tendency of hating each other.
