Tech : MECHBOT : My first Mecha

Well... it's a bit of a mess right now, but hopefully it will transform into something worthwhile quickly.

I'm not used to using much colour, or putting characters in an environment, or making environments, or working quickly, or carving out forms using that colour, or showing action, or making mechs (as much as I love 'em - I've never really made any), but ya gotta get wet to go swimming.

Well, I didn't really think that one through.
Sorta looks like it's running for a bus.
It also occurs to me now that it would've made more sense to have the arms traveling in different directions than the legs.
I'll certainly try to make his actions seem meaningful.

Incidentally, I'm having difficulties with my server, so I can't always post images when I want to. :( I'll keep trying, though.

It's a sweet start man. By looking at it the first thing to mind is that he's running to catch something. I don't want to interfere with whatever you have in mind but he seems to be trying to reach out. Perhaps a grenade or something harmful that he could put inside his chest? He seems pretty sturdy, maybe he's got a special compartment that consumes dangerous expolsives or chemicals.

Bah.... maybe I just need to get some sleep.

Nice work though. BTW great stuff on the DSG lately.:chug:

Your suggestion about a grenade is one that had actually occurred to me already, ha ha. I still dunno what I'm gonna do about that. The bus idea is looking better and better.
I'm either gonna work on this fella right now, or go to sleep, but a self-imposed deadline of Saturday night gives me 3 more days.
