each time i use a large brush the system lags...i mean the strokes are very laggy...anyone know how to fix this? i like painter but i dont like the laggyness..

You're not alone out there.
I experience the same problem, too. And I can't really understand why since I'm using a quite fast machine (AMD Athlon XP 1800+ with a GeForce 3 VGA and 1Gig of RAM).
Compared to PhotoShop, Painter 7 really crawls.

hmmm i have a fairly fast machine as well... i guess i can always work small but that means there wont be a printable version ah well...:beer:
