this startet out as just a doodle, but I somehow liked the movement and flow of that little fella... so i thought i might as well color it.

I am sarting to get a hold on coloring... iŽll keep on experimenting.
as always: c&c welcome

1.) the initial sketch, did not know what i want to do at this point

2.) a first try at coloring... decidet to let the creature be on some kind of plain, lots of space

3.) decided to go for a partly cloudy sky, changed the setting to somewhere in a desert

4.) Added some more detail to the background, going to add more detail, some tumbleweed etc...

i consider it finished... tweaked the contrast a bit, added a little tree-thing in the background, and put more detail to the racoon... hope you like it in some way!

Its cool to see this thing from start to finish..its a nice simple piece, and I like that =).
I think I might even like the second to last version though, I think the less contrast works better for the shading style, and I like how the animal looks on that stage, the lighter colors work alot better IMO, as does the less refined painting over the loose stylish drawing. I think another big thing is that his eyes look closed in that one, and for some reason that does alot for me ;P.

Anyways, keep making more stuff, I really like this =)
