Hey gang,

So it's two weeks into November and I have been a little busy with Hallerdaze stuff, as I'm guessing many of you are too. What I'm thinking is to hold up till Jan and start into a new challenge then, just in time for the winter blahs... but lets use the time constructively on the fourm in the mean time. Thoughts on up and comming challenges, format, time frame and how to get more people participating. One thought I've had, is making the Basics run along side the regular challenges, with no time limit and no vote at the end. Make them more like open classrooms that anyone could pick up at any time and get constructive critiques when they post their wips? For the regular challenges linking more of them with the COW and CHOW activities again like Oblio was doing when he started these. Since they are on a generaly weekly cycle and we do a monthly cycle it should give us plenty of great ideas to attempt.

Tell me what you guys think :)

I reckon a break untill January sounds fine too: it should let us take a break from challenge work without having to feel guitly about it :)

As far as suggestions for challenge topics go, I would like to see the basic anatomy focus continue, with your classroom idea being a great starting point, Garyo: perhaps have several ongoing threads, each dedicated to a different element of the figure so that anyone wnating to see different approaches to a problem body-part could dip in and easily find a good quantity of material.

What I think could work aswell would be some challenges focussing on the feel of pieces perhaps more so than their subject matter, i.e. looking at ways of creating the impression of movement in static models etc.

Nice approaches to this spooky challenge, by the way; good to see some CG working alongside traditional modelling, as I think there is great scope for the two to complement eachother.

All the best!
