Now I know everyone has a different method of breaking down and drawing the figure. I was wondering, could people perhaps share their techniques on breaking down the forms of the figure and drawing them?

I usually gesture (almost a scribble) then try to use planes to build up the figure, but at the end, it ends up looking really messy and it takes a long time. Does anyone have their own methods? Maybe have a pictorial example or simply describe how to go about it?
Thanks

Ah thanks. Anyone else have their own methods? I just want to try them all, and see what works, heh.

i usually do very rough drawings. breaking them up this way. i kinda practice anatomy this way too. keep erasing untill i get a right kind of pose. i really suck at poses. i study artists here at ca to see how they come up with poses and how they study light.
i would tell you not to get confused with the break down stuff. the real deal is to study the anatomy and light structure and giving weight to the characters. find you own way of making these things easy. no?
