ok all, here we go. The below are shot developed and scanned, posted by me. The bellow photos were just to waste a role of film so that i could develop it. there is nothing specal here. I got the chemical mix slightly off i think and the cat thought it would be funny to open the door to the bathroom when i was developing the film. so there is a light leek on some of the photos.

Im going to have another go at this week. The camera will be the canon insted of the some what rubbish 35mm fixed olimpus trip i used to shoot this

so all in all this thed is intended to show how i develop (excuse the pun) with B&W film and the camera as well as the development process

good to see the results! remember to dry the film in a dust-free place, though. Or dust the negatives, they're really sticky

hey there,

looking good. Like the lighting feel you got from these.

dust is the one thing that is always giving me headaches with the negatives.
Drying in a shower cabin is supposed to help, esp. when the air is dust-free after takin a shower.

so what do you think? sorry they took so long to upload. I forgot that digital ice doesn't work with B&W film and had to rescan it all again

hi,

what film did you use? It looks like a high ASA film which normally is pushed already at its suggested "normal" ASA setting... this leads to very stark contrast and thus your shadows are quite dark... even lacking detail in some of them...

watched is very cleverly composed...
coffee time could use a bit of sharpening (USM) - don't forget that scanning a neg introduces a bit of unsharpness which you have to compensate for.

Overall tonal range is actually quite nice, btw... you're getting better!

ilford 400, to be honest some of the barkness of the scans is down to me. I like them to be darker rather than lighter for some reason. Your correct aboult the sharpness. the issue here is the fact that these were taken with a 40 year old olimpus trip 35!!

thanks for the encouragement though

I really like the mood in "Dead Cold." Would probably crop out the white rectangular shapes at the top though. It could be a bit sharper though; may be due to the camera age or the scanning issue Mu brought up.
