dumb question but, if someone is going to buy you a new wacom is it worth it to talk them into buying the intuos 6x8 over the graphire 6x8 and what arguement would i have to validate the extra $80 or $130 w/o bluetooth?
THANX TO ALL

No point in typing out what has been said several times on this site. There are a couple tablet related threads giving info.
Here is a recent one: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=109786

I've read older reviews that said the bluetooth can lag, maybe Wacom has improved it since. Get the Intuos3, Wacoms will last practically forever (I've been using my Intuos2 for about 6 years now). It's an invest that pays for itself in time.

Thanks to both of you.
Wheezy: i have an old graphire which still works but after reading the post you linked me to, i understand the down side of its capabitilies.
RogerAdams: ive had mine for 3 years and the tops a little scratched and i need a new pen, but its still holding in there like a champ. only real down side is that i do get "wavy line input "
i will request the intuos3
thanks again

Yeah, mine has it's scratches and nicks too. I've actually been using a sheet of smooth firm plastic on top of it for that last two or three years. The plastic was some protection thing that came with an LCD monitor. Also, some people cover their's with a sheet of paper because of the feel. Good luck with your new tablet!
