Hi, i noticed recently that I've run out of space on my computer but couldn't figure out what was taking up all the space, so I finally narrowed it down to the doc and setting/username/local settings/temp and found 43 gigs of photoshop files that look like this: Photoshop Temp62025. Does anyone know if i can delete these? it seems like they are from paintings i've done, because the modification dates are dates that I remember creating particularly large paintings. I just don't want to delete them and find out they were critical. I'm working on a comic book so I need the space and can't afford to have photoshop crap out on me. If anyone can help I would much appreciate it, thanks!

Yes, delete away! Which version of PS are you using? IIRC, this was a bug a couple of versions ago. Those temp files are supposed to get cleaned up when they're not needed, but PS wasn't doing so.

yeah delete them away.. I think it's coz sometimes when ur PS crashes it doesn't delete them since it doesn't go through the usual CLOSE routine.. and then u are left with all these uesless temp files... and also what elwell said too.

Ah thanks so much both of you! I'm using CS2. i guess it would be pretty obvious that you should be able to delete files in a temp folder but I just get nervous when it comes to my artwork.
