Check that vid out. Pretty impressive for a large fries! It was done by using the oil on a white paper with black paper behind it. The white paper becomes transparent with the oil on it and thus appears dark with the black paper behind it.
What other crazy mediums have you guys used? I'm not a super fan of using mediums that are unorthodox; ie things that dissolve or decay with time or things that limit what you are capable of doing with them (found objects, etc). But I do find it interesting as I often wonder how the first artists found out what mediums are best for making art and the process they used to do so.
