Brush cursor size changing randomly...Helllp!

Hey folks-

Can someone explain to me why my brush cursor will go from normal (cursor displays max brush stroke) to a crosshairs, seemingly randomly during a session??

Perhaps I am hitting a weird keystroke to cause this?
When it happens I keep hitting cntrl-K (PC) to check my cursor settings and nothing seems changed.

This is driving me nuts, so I thought Id throw it out to all you knowledgeable types...

btw im usin CS3.

The first thing I do after encountering strange behaviour of a program is restarting computer. If the problem stays, I reinstall the program but as you can see I'm not an advanced computer user.

if you press CAPLOCK.. it goes haywired.. and also maybe if you have another language installed.. and you switch to another language keyboard..?
otherwise..maybe delete ur preference file?

Thanks Bumskee! I think c-lock is the culprit.....
