I'm sure there are a ton of people who are attending that can't wait to see/meet some of the biggest names in the industry at this event. So, I wanted to know what is everyone looking forward to the most and what can you absolutely not wait to see?
I'm personally looking forward to meeting Lorne Lanning. I loved the Oddworld games and is one of my favorite games. Also, Jason Felix, m@, noxizmad, Andrew, Jason (who'll probably won't let me attend for making this thread...says I should be arting :P), and all the people I know in IRC. Can't wait to throw back a few drinks with everyone and pick their brains and watch the demos.
So, what and or who are you excited to see?

EVERYONE & EVERYTHING!
:P hahaha
nah, to be honest I don't know too many "names" in the art world, but I'm sure after this I will.
I'm just totally hyped about the overall experience. To me, it seems like everyone is so friendly and honestly just want to help you become a better artist, and I love that! Plus, it'll be great to be around SO many artistic/creative/imaginative people.....I believe I'm due for a brain melt :P
Oh, and I'm totally bringing my Oddworld Art Book and games for Mr.Lanning to sign. I'd just love to meet the man and see how he works.....the Oddworld is such a great universe and game franchise. Who knows, might even find out a little info about Citizen Siege ;)

Of the instructors, I'm probably most looking forward to meeting Matthew Barrett and Lorne Lanning. M.C. Barrett is probably my favorite artist on the forums, and Lorne Lanning seems like a darn interesting guy. Plus, Oddworld Inhabitants is about 1.5 miles away from where I live. Internship, perhaps?:teeth: *keeps dreaming*
Plus, dozens of other less famous forum denizens that I talk to a lot. And the girrrlz.:P

If I can go and man do I hope I can. Todd Lockwood. He's the one who inspired me to draw and paint in the first place. I've always loved/obsessed over his artwork. Also Brom. I belong to the Brom fan club :P
I'd love to meet the artists from Bungie as I love the Halo games.

As I'm fairly undereducated as far as the names overall, I think I am more hyped about being in such a large group of like minded people then I am meeting heroes and such. Hosting someone i've never met from another country will be cool as well.
Putting a face to a name/avatar is gonna be cool.
Definitely into seeing Android work live, as well as hearing him speak.
Hussar seems like a guy that if he wanted to talk would have some good stories and such...Hearing someone as legendary as Lorne Lanning speak will be a treasure as well.
Just the whole deal....

To draw, of course..
make sure you talk talk talk. You will miss out on half of the experience if you aren't shaking hands and passing your sketchbook every second of the day. Turn to the person next to you.. "Hi! I'm justin, can I see your sketchbook?"
You will walk away with more knowledge than you ever could have thought you'd get. The instructors are great, but the people among you are just as valuable, as Jason will undoubtedly announce when the workshop starts. If you've ever discovered something that changed the way you draw forever, realize that there are hundreds of people just like you around you, who have had their own unique art-changing experiences. That's around 300 small nuggets of random knowledge waiting to be mined from melted brains. Mr. Blonde probably gave me 40% of what I learned at Montreal... in only 45 minutes, when he was describing the concept of form to me, because I asked him why he didn't like one of his sketches. That began a series of lightbulb clicks. If you are flipping through someone's sketchbook, and you see something that you would have never thought of, ask them why they thought of it. Or if they point to their sketch and say "I hate that sketch.. it sucks", but you don't see anything wrong with it? ASK THEM WHY!! They will unleash a phalanx of funk upon your brain, with each word emptying your adrenaline gland, as you feel this rush of knowledge entering your brain- you will then realize, as your knees go weak and you collapse to the ground, foaming at the mouth with realization, that you have just been brain-melted. now multiply that by 200 or so, and that is your knowledge potential.
