I thought it would be great practice, if i drew costumes throughout the ages. Cause right now, im really terrible at drawing people with clothes on! :P

So here i go.

I love the bronze age female, awsome expression! Nice colors too. I see that your new style is tweaked but watch out for the legs. It feels like the joints are a tad low.

Keep it up mate, cheers

i have been thinking that i should quit at my work and just draw like crazy for half a year and then look for some illustration type job.
I'm getting sick of my current work as a cleaner (like today i had to wash blood, vomit, shit and other substances out of carpets) and the pay isnt even good. I get like only 500-800 euros a month and my rent is 372 euros. Also i have been working there all the way from 2001 and i have begun to suspect that, if i dont now make some drastic changes to my life, i'll never become an illustrator (im already 25 years old!)
So i was thinking that, if i concentrated just on my artwork for half a year, i might become good enough to do this professionally..
Theres just that if/when i do this, it'll take 2½ months (maybe longer) until I'll get any money from welfare. And im not sure if i can save enough money beforehand to survive the 2½ months.. unless i ate only noodles! ;)
Still, im scared to do this, but i need to change my life, if i ever want to become anything.. so i think I'll quit at the end of this year! (gotta save some money before i begin this)

anyway, heres the latest one :painting:

I'll continue this tomorrow.. need go to sleep

Hey there! I really like the borderline crazy look they have in their eyes--especially that first guy. I would not want to meet him in a dark alley. I like your style; it's very bold and matter-of-fact; but one thing i've noticed is that your torso to leg ratio is a little off. I sort of have this problem sometimes too; i draw the legs and feet way too small. If you start noticing your feet are smaller than the hands, you know you have a problem. =P Also, I noticed there's a lot of black in your shadows, and i don't know if that's left over from your outline, but sometimes it helps to have some color in your shadows; it makes everything pop out more.

Oh, and good luck with your life-changing decision, man! You've defintely got balls. =D

MsMaverick - yeah, the legs are still a little too short, but at least they are now longer than they were in the summer. Then my legs were tiny!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v403/puppeli/orc_redesign.jpg
..but really, my style is still a "work in progress", it'll prolly change quite bit over time :P

i thought i should try out how the main character in the short story should look.. heres what i came up with (its not really original or anything, but wth ;))

Seriously...you are posting some amazing stuff!!!The green orc in post #13 and the boy with the sword are great!Don´t worry about your current job. It´s good to make a change in your life if it is for better!Remember that there is no limit of age to work as an illustrator!I think the same as you,I am 23 and I need to improve a lot if I want to become a profesional illustrator but I have to finish my degree first....damn...I haven´t got free time to spend drawing!Argh!
Ok ok ok,enough chat!!
Great job!Keep posting!

Edit: Just one advice that master whiteeeeeeee gave not too long ago: Use different colors for the skin. For example, the green ork is very monochromatic.Maybe use some pale purples around the eyes,nose,chin...you know, those places wher the skin is thinier and you can see the blood through it.

I don't really have any crits for you to be honest. Just asspats from me right now, I [B]LOVE[B] That little kid swinging the sword. So much character to him.

You should make a little gif animation of him. I think it could turn out amazingly well.

Edit:Yeah I'm going to agree with the short leg comment, it doesn't bother me aesthically in some, but the others it draws my attention a lot.

Nice style man, i love these bug eyes! Your coloring is sick too, i love the saturation.

My only advice... how about a study showing different expressions you can achieve with those kinds of bug eyes? I believe it would look nice!

Keep it up, looking good!

you know, been watching cartoons and reading comics so much that i have had no time for chatting.. okay, i lied a bit there. I have a few irritating persons in my friends list in msn messenger, and i just didn't want to talk with them.. hmm, i guess, i should just delete them out

was inspired by this thread at the Lounge, to do a Rob Liefeld inspired speedpainting.. I didn't have any of his pictures at hand, so its more of my impression of his work than anything.
