the reason i'm posting in the work in progress section is becuase i have an idea of what i want this site to look like, BUT, i also want to hear what other people think.
I want to have the site primarily black and white, but the buttons and work are going to be in color. Well, i hope i get some good input. Oh yeah, i want to keep that sharpie sketch on the mainpage, any suggestions on how to make him a little more interactive would be great. Thnk.
here's the site (http://www2.gvsu.edu/~selleckd)

Looks good. A little rough. Maybe put a little border or something there so the Sharpie image doesn't just end, but rather gets chopped off.. know what i mean? Or at least have the image run all the way to the top of the frame. That white space above him is buggin' me.
My suggestion for making it more interactive: I don't know anything about what process you might use to animate, but I think you should have his nostril flare, or his nose wrinkle up a little, when you pass the cursor over it. So the cursor is irritating him like a fly. I think that could be great.
Increase the contrast on him, too. I understand if you wanna keep the translucency in some of the marker line, but the rest of it should be black black. That's my feelings about it.

fix your code. you copied and pasted, and now it opens two copies of the image.

yeah, i fixed that. I didn't put the image on it's own layer, i just inserted it. Well, it's up (sorta) now and it's got a link on it! yeah, i know i'm the only one that's excited.
