I'm one of the concept artists (well, trying to be ;) ) of the atlantis mod for ut2k3. I'm having a big problem with designing the vehicles for the atlantean race in our mod.

the big concept error in the whole is. isnt atlantis peacefull and there fore not required to have any weapons

these are some killer models. i would like to see the textures pushed further, towards a more realistic gritty style than this kind of cartoony clean look they ahve now. Sword is definately my favorate, it reminds me of that concept artist who worked on Magna Carta

If this is based on the disney movie, could copyright laws be trouble?
I think thats why its cartoony poopinmouth. I mean disney inspired and what not.

No it's not inspired by the disney movie. The textures look like this because we have a very hard time skinning them :)

Thanks mate. Though the modeller and skinner do a better job imo then I do as a concept artist. They really know how to bring my ideas alive. Teamwork rules :)

VERY cool! Is this for UT2k3? Or 2k4? Or both? :D

Really awesome, the Atlanteans remind me of the things from Breed.

yup it's also for ut2k4, we're planning vehicle support later on. though we do have a bit of problems designing the alien vehicles hehe
