The next thing on my list to learn should be how to convert files to loose as little detail as possible. I have no idea how to do that properly. Tips on getting a good result are appreciated.

So this is my third try at Painter using Hawkprey's tecnique. My first two tries are posted under "Hawkprey style-ape."
I've given up trying to stay sketchy and hopefully abandoned emulating Hawkprey's supercool style.
Not great but, once again, I'm bound to improve.

Things I've learned today: I'm not good at drawing tiny little cats, I would have saved myself 20 minutes if I had looked up "flash supressor" instead of "silencer", I'm not very good at drawing those either.
To do list: clothe my next attempt and possibly even give them a face. Here's hoping.:D
Comments and crits welcome.

This turned out really well if you ask me. I have a question for you, and please forgive me if it's stupid but I have only attempted one digital painting in my life...Did you paint a solid black mass for this and then paint the white over that as hawkprey does or did you start with line art first? Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comment PencilPunx. To answer your question, I started this out in painter as a quick line drawing based on a two inch doodle in my sketchbook. The rest was done by switching back and forth between white and black. It was all done with the same brush. Hope that helps.
