Looks very good, though the contrast could be stronger!
I dont know, at the Art Student's League I didnt really like the life drawing. Maybe it was the particular time and room that I had, but there were only about 5 other people there and it seemed pretty informal. At Spring Studios and Tompkins Square, they seem alot more interacting. Like this girl who was at the desk next to me turned to me and was asking if I come here often, how long have I been drawing, etc.

I always hear good stuff about the Art Student's League. My teacher was going there back in the 80's I think, under Ted Seth Jacobs. If I lived in NY you better believe it would be my first choice of schools :D
Good study - you're using chalk on this one? Do they advocate the use of chalk?
Flamedragon- absolute silence was the rule at our atelier, during the model, and then when the model was on break we would chat for a short 5 minutes. It's hard to concentrate when people are chit chatting. Serious students are usually the most silent....

I'm not talking about while we are drawing, I'm talking about during the breaks

Interesting - no it's just that at our atelier we hardly ever used chalk, so I was just curious. teachers all have their idiosyncrasies, part of the joys of apprenticing.
Flamedragon - sorry to hear that - maybe you have to make the first move - or impress with your art. The rumor is the ASL is a little competitive? idk wot
