I've just started learning digital art. My wacom tablet and Painter program are about a week old and I appreciate any tutorial I can get. I esecially appreciate Hawkprey's sketching style and avi. tuturial because it helps me avoid learning color theory and layers:D . Plus it just looks cool.
So these are my first "finished" digital images. Not great but I'm bound to get better.
Comments, crits and Corel Painter tips are very appreciated.

like Davi said, the thick lines kill it.
Learn to vary your line width, forget waht its really called but its like 3am and im really tired..
anyways, make lines in dareker areas thicker (although not TOO thick) and lines in lighter areas extremely thin and light, on highlights (for example, a shoulder) you can even break the line to emphasize the highlight.. youll be amazed at how much better your line work will look if you do that.. jsut remember to vary the thickness of the line and the value of the lines..

Thanks for the comments, I've posted my third attempt in a new thread. I took your advice and tried to vary the line thickness. I'm positive an art teacher tried to teach me that once but it went straight through the other ear;).
New thread under "Fatman." C&C welcome.
