Hello,

I'm starting in drawing, and I've been drawing perspective stuff for a few weeks now :). Even though I love it, I would like to change for a little bit and try to understand and practice drawing robotic and organic characters. Could anyone recommend me a tutorial on the forums that I could check out please?

I've browsed a bit but didn't really find a thread that sums up everything :(.

Thanks in advance !

To get robots and organic forms down i thnk you need to learn some anatomy and figurative techniques.... which comes mainly from practise and not a magical tutorial or technique.

Well i think you should start a local life drawing class (they arent expensive and usually run 1-2 times a week)...

Other than that try getting your hand on a Loomis or Bridgeman book.

The more you practise and draw everything the more organic shapes make sense to turn into robotic parts.

As for getting a sense of parts... Go to a scrapyard and buy some junk of engine that doesnt work, or an old TV-VHS or somthing.... take it all apart and put it back together, the visual library from doing that should help.
