interesting layout, the white on white kind of feel really works for it and the placement of the gun untop of the logo like that splitting the plane. however u do have some issues with the anatomy in the lower area, it looks like his body is twisted, the buttocks doesn't fit, maybe u don't even need to go beyond his lower torso just cut the body at the hips or waist, right now he seems amputated. Anther things is the gun, the style u used to draw it is the same style u used for the creation of the body, i don't know if that was ure intention but it makes the gun look a little organic, because it's directly on the logo it seems to be the focal point to me and i think it would look alot better if it had a hard edge, more machanical you know?

other than that though, i really do like it, good work =)

first of it's a "she" or the very least a "it"

if by twisted we mean the same thing then it's intentional...her lower body is supposed to be twisted like that. I shoot rifles myself so I'm pretty confident in her stance...however some people have complained that her butt was too big or too round...meh somethings wrong with people :P

however the left "kevlar-straps-plate-thingies" didn't come out right and is one of the things I would like to correct...and these my play a trick on the eyes and make it seem that something is rong with her lower body.

also at first I didn't really intend to make her lower body...but got kinda carried away...but I'm very pleased with her "boots" and what it did to the picture...so most likely I'll keep it.

aah yes the gun...I'm not much for making mechanical stuffand use rulers and measurements etc. but it is one of the things I'm going to brush up on too...making the lines more straight and sharp...and I dunno if it's a trick on the eye(because the scope is obviously not straight :P and the logo) but is the barrel pointing upward a little?

the gun wasn't supposed to be that much a focalpoint...but it eneded up that waybecause that's really the only proper place to put the logo. and also because I descided to go for black(originally the grip and base of the gun was white like the outfit of the assassin, but it seemed to get a little too white, so I went for black. might make a couple of different versions of this.)

thanks for the comments and crits.

bah, that game will never come out. I remember 3 years ago hearing about it coming out in a few months. Then a few months turns into a year then a year into a couple of years. I know it says by the end of Sept. it should be out or by the end of the year, HAHAHAHAH cough. Blah blah blah, even if it does come out the haxers are going to ruin it the day it gets released. I've learned my lesson. No more HL for me.. it's not worth my 50 bucks just so I can get some dick who thinks it's fun to use an aim bot.

wopps, got mixed up in my own thoughts. Sorry, nice peace.. nice peace. I would spend a little more time on her butt. For some reason it just does not seam right. Also the back of her head looks a little goofy.

erh...the game wasn't mentioned 3 years ago...Valve first announced it in may or so right before this year's E3.

I'm still confident they'll make the sep.30th release date..or atleast an early October release. I don't think it will slip more than a couple of weeks max.

bud, you don't know beep. If I did not re format my hard drive I could show you an official article released about 2.8 years ago saying it was under development and should be released in about a year. They've had to push back the release date because the beta very was already being haxed and was not as secure as they thought. Trust me I know what I'm talking about. I used to play this game non stop for 3 years. I'm talking 8 hr days for a few wks straight.

Umm Busta, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm leaning towards (heavily) you're statement being a lie. Valve kept the game secret untill recently, and wasn't even releasing information about it. I seriously doubt that their'd be a beta THREE years ago. Nobody even knew about it hardly three years ago, since they hadn't even had a stable engine to run it on three years ago, as far as I know.

Anyways, the picture is good, it could be improved, though. The anatomy could use some work, especially the small arm and the coloring could be improved a bit. Overall, it seems a bit rushed,

busta man, dude, I've been keeping my finga on the pulse of everything valve for quite some time and though I may have heard an inkling that this game was in developement, I'm pretty damn sure that I haven't seen it miss it's release date yet, they just announced the release date and I saw it at E3 and it looks amazing and almost finished. Anyways, not to hijack this thread or anything, but the wallpaper is alright, I would avoid using the burn and dodge tool for shading and highlighting and instead use other colors for shadows and highlights so as to add more umph to the pic. Cool pic though so far, nice one, great game hopefully as well

LOL.. I HAD to comment on this

Valve started working on the engine right after they finished hl1, they kept everything quiet. but offcourse there where rumors going around some 3 years ago that they where working on hl2 because the development team has grown alot and stuff like that. they finished the engine last november last year (5 years in development)and it's going to be released SEPT 30 THIS year thats 10 month's for all the content (pretty fast). I am really looking forward to this game. even when i cant run all that l33t graphic shit. but hey they said it runs good on a 800 mhz system with dx 6 video card (without all the fancy graphic stuff and low resolutiion textures, low poly models, etc). so I am sure that my 1 ghz amd thunderbird and geforce 2 mx 400 will run it good. I am not really buying this game for the graphics but for the story. i am dieng to know what happened after the blackmesa research facility got nuked. only 1 month away! w00t

oh its a she? that would explain the junk in the trunk, i have to agree with the others u said commented, the buttocks could be played down a little it looks kinda unatural

by 'twisted' i don't mean the stance is incorrect for holding a gun, i mean well, look at the top of her shoulders, the perspective isn't matching the lower anatomy so its a bit off plane

i see u touched up the gun a bit, looks better, i didn't mind the pencil lines u had in the first one but the updated version looks alot more crisp without them, good stuff =)

my god you brough that back up for that:rolleyes:

and again you fail to realise a couple of things...

first of it's not really more bs from Valve...it's not Valve's fault that some no life hacker(s) descide to hack their network using key-loggers and whatnot to illegally obtain the source code.

with that said...keep an eye out on this...I'm going to fix that butt in the near future.

it's not Valve's fault that some no life hacker(s) descide to hack their network

If valve can't stop haxers from breaking into their network what makes you think their game will be secure? Their are steps valve could have made to stop any haxing attempt on their precious source code. For instance they could have kept their programming computers on a secure LAN and not accusable on the world wide web.

With in 5 mins of learning this news I found the source code for half life 2 and the compiled version of it. My research has also found out that by getting this source code the supposed haxers have found hl cd key authorization code. Does this mean valve will need to postpone the release of hl2? Probably not but who knows right. If any moron like my self can find this info then what is to stop the public from doing the same thing. Will those lame threats valve has released stop the avg Joe.

Do I condone what these supposed haxers have done? No, I completely disagree with their actions. Valve is only trying to make a buck just like any other law abiding citizens.

I've dealt with valve for many years and I've learned not to trust them. For instance with their steam software did you know their was spyware attached to it? All I've set out to do by posting this is to prove a point. That point is valve can't be trusted and they need to rethink how they do business. Did you also know that valve will charge you the consumer to purchase updates for this game? If this is a conspiracy just to postpone the release date what makes you think they wont deceive you in the future. Will they charge you for anti cheat updates? I'm not sure yet but I would not put it past them.

well ive worked on a half life 2 engine title (vampire bloodlines)...i can only say this much...I will be getting this game.

delayed or not.

I only wish I was the owner of a company where we could take the time to do it right...most games ship a year early. know that.

lol bust your so terribly uninformed...

I agree that Valve could probably have done a few things different to lessen the risk of leaks and hacks...it doesn't however change the fact that Valve is still not to blame for what has happened, the blame shouldn't be with Valve but the Hackers.

it's like saying it's your own fault you get shot down in the streets...you could just have worn a bullet proof vest.

also STEAM DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY SPYWARE!

read: Some users have seen non-Steam related information (like names of private files on their computer) show up inside their Steam cache files, raising privacy concerns. This is actually a result of the way Windows handles files. The cache file gets created on the client using the Windows CreateFile() command. This command will create the file but not initialize it. Due to the large size of the file, the Steam client does not initialize the empty data blocks in it as this can take an appreciable amount of time. On NTFS machines, files created with this method happen to have the property of appearing empty (initialized to zero) but for FAT32 machines, it shows up as whatever old data was sitting on drive in the sectors that just got allocated for the cache. This data is never uploaded or even read by the Steam client. Eventually, as Steam downloads more data, the old data is overwritten.

also Valve will not charge their customers for patches for HL2...in theory they could, as could any other company, nothing has changed and they won't do this.

anyways I'm off to fix that butt...

Yet you downloaded and compiled it yourself. Making you equal to those who stole it in the first place.

With in 5 mins of learning this news I found the source code for half life 2 and the compiled version of it.

The fact that you are part if this group of people stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of work and technology has told me a lot of your character. Let me put this into terms you can fathom:

You decide to build the house of your dreams. After 5 years of working on this house 8-12 hours a day, you have all but the carpets laid out. A natural disaster of epic porportions destroys your house, and is such that no insurance purchased by yourself that will cover the loss. You have nothing left.

Your easy solution would be to have had a better insurance plan? That would bring back those last 5 years and countless hours of work?

I never once stated that I downloaded or compiled the source code. I was extremely tempted to see what valve has done but contrary to belief I do have some morals. Next time try not to use selective reading.

;)

About the spyware I was wrong. I was lazy and did not read the full article.
