Hey guys n gals-

i'm working on 2 levels at the same time (a church and city street) so I was curious if you guys can give me any CC on either of them.

I would post more of the church but i'm not quite finish texturing the inside and the basement just yet. also I need to finish up the vertex lighting on it.

These would be for real time games so I kept the poly count pretty low (or at least attempted heh)

Any comments would be great
thanks
erik

Poly_Cube, compress your jpegs more, and post the links directly into the forum. It'll make the images easier to review.

What engine are the levels being made for? The church is coming along, but the street, while it's obvious you've put a ton of work into it, doesn't really stand out a location a player could have fun in. It needs more personality, and variation in layout and height. I mean the base road plane doesn't need to be flat, it could be hilly and twisty, with raised foundations, ramps and fences breaking up the layout.

Post some more.

The street is actually almost done but your right wetterschneider- the street is prob the most boring level you can ever run in. I was thinking maybe i can try my luck at Rockstar so they tend to do real life streets for most of their games but your right, I 'll prob go back in there eventually and just add some more elements in there- maybe a park with a statue- slopes etc.

as for the engine I think my teacher will bring in render rare to try it out or we will take a field trip to where he works at Rock star and plug them into a PS2. (not exactly sure) right now its pretty much practice.

but here are some updates of the castle- I would post the updates for the street;however, since my hard drive crashed 2 days ago all my textures are screwed up so i'll have to fix that before I can post.
any coments would be great thanks!

Hey not a bad start and i like the theme, a fiew issues though with your texturing....for one i think you should work more with your textures and utilize photoshop more for them and 2. in alot of your textures its easy to see a tiling pattern and thats bad, cause i can tell you just repeat the same bitmaps throught objects, 1 way to fix that is to open the bitmap in photoshop, offset it then you will see the lines, so then just clone stamp it all so the lines dissapear, before doing this make sure to crop the image to get a part thats least noticable if its going to be tiled
