sammy- thanks for the feedback. As for the off balance thing it was intentional. They're supposed to be in motion and the beasts they ride jump like kangaroos.
I heres the concept of the creatures.

Looks good so far. I like the concept for the creature. As for the layout of the composition, I suggest you look at pictures of Kangaroos in motion before you go much further. Maybe you should also vary the poses of the creatures a little more. All that aside, you have done a very good job so far and I look forward to seeing more.

Looks good to me except for the fact that all the beasts and riders appear to be in the same position. I get the feeling that im looking at an image in a mirror through another mirror. That kind of infinite repetition thing. As a personal recommendation id say lift the head of the middle one as if it were leaping into the sky like a rocket, nose first. Or if your goin for that hoppy hoppy look maybe place it a little further back or a little further forward. Or maybe have it be in the air?

thanks for the suggestions guys, i really appreciate it. Good thing i let you guys see it b4 i went too far to the point of me not wanting to go back and fix things.
But im actually in the process of expanding the composition to give the piece more of a narrative rather than it just being some guys riding in the desert. What im adding is the "sandwhale" creature that these people hunt. So that the painting tells a story.... a story of the hunt. Anyways to remind you guys of what the "sandwhale" looks like here ya go.

I really like your idea for expanding the composition. That "sandwhale" is very cool. If you have time, could you post the concept of it like you did for your creatures? I can't wait for your next update.

Panzer Dragoon is what made me realize gaming/interaction as an artform... they were way ahead of their time... today no other game pushes its genra as far as PD pushed shooters.
Orta sold really well in the states so Smilebit is pretty committed to delevering another Panzer Dragoon SAGA!!
WOOOO!!
anyways I was a little vague about "purple highlights" .. but see those highlights on the land in the middle? the blue/purple... use some of those
