Hiya, well I was wondering if someone can give me some analogies or the equivalent of some of the techniques I'm doing in this digital medium.
When I select the paintbrush tool, and load it up with 100%black then lower the opacity from 100%-0% is that the same as traditionally dilluting pure black with water or another solvent? If so, let's say I'm painting with 100% opaqueness but set the brush attributes to pen pressure opacity. Is that not unlike wielding some graphite and varying the pressure you put on the graphite? If I wanted to mimic the oil painting medium how does having the pen pressure set to opacity compare to traditionally painting with a brush loaded with paint? When painting with a traditional medium don't you just vary the pressure put on the brush to control the lines thickness and do scumbling. This has been going through my head for a while and would like someone to clear it up=D, thankya.
